Tahiti Agricultural Show

This is the First Place award given by the Government of French Polynesia during the 2003 agricultural show in Tahiti. (Taken place every 4 years.)

Alain Abel from Tahiti Vanille won the First Place award at the agricultural show in Tahiti. The fair gathered all farmers from entire French Polynesia in the agriculture field, including vanilla.

To get the award, different criteria had to be met:

• length of the beans
• rate of humidity of the beans
• nice perfume of the beans
• look of the beans (they had to be straight, no scars, not opened....)
